Parents wishing to apply for a Reception place at Fagley Primary School:

Must complete the COMMON APPLICATION FORM, which is available either from the Local Authority or from the School. This should then be returned directly to the Local Authority by the National closing date for Primary school places which will be Monday 15th January 2018.

Online applications can also be made by logging onto and selecting ‘Online School Admissions’.

All children in Bradford are admitted into the EYFS (Reception) Class in the academic year in which they are five. All children begin school in September.


The closing date for EYFS applications into school in September 2020 is 15th January 2020.


The National offer day for places is Monday 16th April 2018 when online applicants will be informed by the Local Authority of their application status. All parents should receive an allocation letter via primary/nursery schools or Royal Mail on Monday 16th April 2018.


Deadline for return of acceptance slips/ waiting list forms Monday 16th April 2020


Parent(s) who wish to appeal against the Governors' decision not to offer a place to their child, may do so by writing to the Local Authority Education Appeals Committee within 20 school days from the date of notification that their application was unsuccessful.

Closing date for return of appeal forms Tuesday 18th May 2020

Hearing for appeals will take place in June and July

The Appeals Committee will consider the appeal and notify parents of their decision within 5 school days of the hearing.
